Counselling on the Northern Beaches

My Vision:

Building emotional health to grow a stronger community
I believe that as we learn to understand, accept and support ourselves we are able to move in the world in a way that allows for authentic and compassionate connection

I am a psychotherapist operating a counselling practice in Dee Why on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. I have also worn the many hats of daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. My introduction into the therapy world began through my own experience of counselling. Although a difficult time, I was simultaneously intrigued by the counselling process.

I went on to gain my Advanced Diploma of Counselling through St Mark’s Theological College, followed by a Graduate Diploma of Emotionally Focused Therapy at the Institute of EFT in Annandale. Over the years I have worked with individuals across the Northern Beaches ranging in age from 18 to 75 with diverse concerns including anxiety, depression, abuse, childhood trauma and relationship issues.

Functioning in today’s world is difficult; living up to expectations, study pressures, tricky relationships, work stress, mother/fatherhood, juggling careers with family, financial worries, life transitions…. Years of counselling men and women on the Northern Beaches has made me realise the importance of truly knowing what makes us tick; the benefits of self-awareness and understanding the role of our emotions. Through my work I aim to provide my clients with the space to explore their struggles, to have the opportunity to understand themselves and what is truly important to them. These discoveries can then pave the way for living in the world in a way that is meaningful and authentic, in line with your own values and belief systems.
